Harold Mason Stoker 1st Class HMS Zealous.
Whilst serving in the arctic on the Russian convoys in 1945, Harold Mason helped to save the lives of a number of Norwegian refugees from the freezing waters, after the ship they were travelling to safety on was sunk by German U-boats. He risked his own life and then had to be rescued himself. His selfless act of bravery was awarded when he received the Ushakov medal in March 2014. He lived in Burton Latimer Northampton.
